It all began back in 2009 when our founder, Kate Jarrett, discovered her love for hair extensions but was dissatisfied with the available application methods. Determined to find a better solution, she stumbled upon a unique micro weft extension technique and fell in love with it.

After extensive training in various methods, Kate launched Loxy's Hair Boutique, a salon dedicated to all things hair with a special focus on hair extensions. However, her journey didn't come without challenges. Finding reliable and top-quality hair extensions proved to be her biggest hurdle. She searched from supplier to supplier, experiencing every problem imaginable. At one point, she had to replace over 20 sets of hair extensions because of a bad batch she unknowingly received.

Determined to provide her clients with the best possible hair, Kate embarked on a two-year journey to scour the world for premium extensions. During her travels, she witnessed the realities of poor factory conditions, lack of quality control, and unsustainable practices. This firsthand experience made her even more committed to finding a reliable manufacturer.

After rigorous research, Kate discovered the perfect high-quality, ethically sourced hair extensions. She is immensely proud of the entire supply chain, from fair pay for hair donors to sustainable chemical processes and staff treatment. For over a decade, her team of 20+ stylists worked exclusively with this exceptional hair, ensuring consistent quality and leaving tens of thousands of clients delighted.

Word spread quickly, and the Loxy's brand became synonymous with premium quality hair extensions. Salons from across New Zealand and Australia sought to offer our extensions on their service menus.

One of the unique advantages of using this hair within our salons was the ability to perfect the recipe for longevity and care. Over the years, we have honed our expertise, ensuring that our hair extensions maintain their quality and beauty for as long as possible.

With the global pandemic, Kate made the decision to close the salon doors and focus solely on HAIR By Loxy's, the wholesale company she wished she had in the early days. This allows us to provide outstanding quality, consistent, and beautiful hair extensions that you can rely on.
